Proverbs 3:5–6 (ESV) – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Trust is tough!
Faith can’t happen without trust.
Hebrews 11:1 (ESV) – Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
“Faith is not belief without proof, but trust without reservation.”
Psalm 56:3–4 (ESV) – When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. 4 In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
Does faith and trust mean the eradication of the feeling of doubt or fear?
Feelings are not facts!
Isaiah 26:3–4 (ESV) – You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. 4 Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.
God is our rock and assurance.
Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV) – For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Psalm 37:5 (ESV) – Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.
“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”
Can we celebrate our God and see what trust in Him looks like?
