Culture Pt.4
Service and Change
Series Verse:
Romans 12:2 (ESV) – Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Mark 9:35 (ESV) – And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”
“A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus but a molder of consensus.”
– Martin Luther King Jr.
For far too long the Christian Church has not been filled with leaders. We have filled our Sundays and midweek gatherings with good speaking, good music, and good events. But we have missed one primary mission of Jesus…SERVICE!
Hebrews 13:16 (ESV) – Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
Princeton Church is full of servant leaders!
How is service important at Princeton Church?
Aren’t pastors paid to do all that church stuff?
In what ways do you see service materialized at PC?
CONCLUSION:
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (ESV) – For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
Isaiah 43:18–19 (ESV) – “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
“Culture is simply a shared way of doing something with a passion.”
Our prayer is that Princeton Church has a culture that is established by God!
